Yes, let's run a system whose security you can fly a 747 Jumbo through.
That seems wise.
SuSE's life-cycle is rubbish, and has been for over five years. There's
a reason I -dropped- OpenSuSE for CentOS, and it has everything to do
with life-cycle vs practical corporate enterprise requirements.
Also, SuSE has been engineered like crap since 9.0 Pro, which was the
last good version they made...like 15+ years back.
