SUSE

I tried RedHat many years ago but SUSE was ahead in several things we needed at the time.

I also tried Ubuntu once and you could do all kinds of pretty things to your desktop,
etc. but I never did find a way to set up the Wireless on my laptop.

And I'll be the first to admit that we never tried Debian, Centos, Slackware, etc because
SUSE fit our needs perfectly at the time.

And then there is SUSE's YAST (Yet Another System Tool) that makes all the difference in the
world. One place to do almost everything you'll ever need to do. Trust me, that one simple
tool is better than sliced bread.

OPENSUSE is not trendy or particularly flashy, it just works. We have been using it since
2000 and it's never gotten anything but better.

Also, for everyone on SCO 5 or SCO6, you can move it to SUSE 9.0 (Ancient but better than
SCO). Running Linux ABI, it will run your SCO Filepro, and 4Gen Menus.

We were also SCO Vars for years. I've also done 2 SCO Definitive Upgrades before their price
went out of sight and both the new 5 and 6 were pretty limited in what hardware you could use.

You can get newer (not new), more powerful systems with more memory and you can use NEW hard drives,
to at least 1 or 2 Terabytes.

If I can't be of help, you can contact me at any time.
