seeking advice on installing filepro on linux mint 18.3

This library may well be part of the ncurses development package.

I'm not familiar with Linux mint, but would guess that it uses
the apt package management system.  I always have to RTFM when
I'm playing with my Raspberry PI to figure out how this works.
