help converting dos(fp 5.0 windows) screens to linux screens (fp .5.0.14D4) - some funny characters will not go away

Tony,

I am not a Linux person, Windows, but I see to remember reading on the list
that this has something to do with the character set being used in the
termcap.

You could check the archive as this can up recently.  Or, someone a lot more
knowledge in this matter can help you.
