Sounds like a network issue, since running it on the server itself works fine.

How is the speed entering the program, and running the program itself?

Is it only exiting that's the problem?

If you run from the command prompt, is it still slow exiting the program? 
(ie: is the problem exiting the program, or returning to the menu?)
