filepro & 64 bit os

One of my clients is having a problem with speed.

Windows Server 2008 64 bit quad processor.  Workstations Win xp pro 32 bit.

Problem: Exit a menu option, take 12 seconds to get to menu on local network
even when connected through a gigabit port.

When connected through terminal server, exiting back is normal.

Has anyone seen this problem when running 64 bit server OS?

Any suggestions as to what might cause this problem.
