run index maintenance error

OK all, here is an odd one regarding this problem.
I copied l_card the n_card using fpcopy and then rebuilt all of the auto
indexes.
Changed the menu command line to run n_card. Report ran as it should using
rreport.
Renamed l_card to k_card and renamed n_card back to l_card. Modified the
command line again to run from l_card.
The report gave me the same error.
Copied the file to k-card, ran the report, no error.
Only with the file name l_card does the error happen.
