Vista + filePro running on a UMPC

Bill C. And the fp community in general.

I sent a large 2.4 meg attached photo of new Samsung (Ultra Mobile) Q1p
running filePro and a TOUCH SCREEN keyboard to the list yesterday, as many
visually challenged people in the fp community would be astounded by the
detail and quality of the image. My email software lets me open an
attachment or not, its my decision. I am guilty of thinking everybodys
email can offer you that option.

The Q1p also has a cursive writing keyboard converter that will let you
convert whole words or letters into text and enter them directly into your
filePro app. I am researching using the verbal instructions to convert and
enter into your filePro app. Imagine that, talking, then entering
instructions to your fp app. FilePro HQ should be jumping on this, it is
pretty exciting stuff and it has the potential to make our beloved fp
generate some much needed interest out there in the marketplace. Pretty
futuristic stuff for sure.

I have since sent the photo to a few that requested it, feel free to email
me privately if you want to see a smaller (84k) photo or the original (2
4meg) big one. The list censor(s) are the ones who are missing out on the
whole idea......as usual. Please don't start a flame war over this OK, I
am, after all trying to promote filePro, not run it down as many do.

This is one of the things I really like about the IMP webmail
Piece of the horde system. One can *EASILY* send attachments as
Links which IMP automatically copies to the horde server, adding
Link(S) in the message body pointing to the file(S). It's one of
The few reasons that I actually use a webmail interface, most
Frequently ssh'ing to my Linux server, and reading mail in mutt.

FWIW: Mark did the processing on this as I've been in a week
Long Plone bootcamp. I would have rejected the message with a
Message explaining that sending a 3MB file to a few hundred
People is unacceptable, not censorship. My message might have
Said something like ``are you as stupid as you appear to be''?

If I were into modifying messages to the list, the first thing I
Would do is configure Mailman to strip or reject all HTML
Attachments.
