I think they're trying to occupy the space in the universe that
was previously occupied mainly by Symantec (Norton) and McAfee.

I wasn't recommending Microsoft's anti-spyware/anti-virus software,
only suggesting that an email porporting to offer it probably was
not valid.

PS - But who else would better know how to close the security holes
     they've opened than the people who opened them?
