And if that does work correctly, what happens if you strip the auto
table down to just the CALL statement?  If that works, then it's again
not a simple "call this from automatic and it will crash", but rather
"call this from my particular automatic table and it will crash".  In
that case, without seeing your particular automatic, it can't be
duplicated.
