Possible to run FP on a Synology Server?

Wouldn't the ability to run filePro or not depend on the OS you can install on your hardware?
Synology is but a "device", as far as I can see, so the question is what OS are you running on your server? I will love to know the answer to this question as well; the chip, the OS and all of that stuff ...
As far as backup/mirroring your devices, should be simple enough in LINUX, specially if hosted within same infrastructure. I use syncrify to keep mirror copies of fp between two remote servers and it works pretty well; set to sync drives every 15 minutes so customer does not fall behind beyond 15 minutes worth of data.
Here is syncrify URL:

Subject: Possible to run FP on a Synology Server?
Sorry for the ignorant question. Used to do a decent amount of my own
programming, have been using FP for my GL and Accounting for a
millennium for a small law firm.
Essentially satisfies my needs, presently running on a Linux box, running
ok, but old.
We have a new Synology server. Is it feasible to run FP on same? I don't
know enough about it, or whether or not there is an OS to run anything on...
I have a spare linux server that I was also hoping to perhaps hire one of
you guys to have set up as a backup server in the event the current one
goes down.
Thank you, in advance, and for your patience.
Thanks,
Seth
