windows filepro

Hi

have windows filepro , just added a remote pc with windows share to main 
computer

I am getting to the data fine
except when I go to add or update it says

I am in read only mode.

When I go to the windows box that has the binaries and data
the user I am using has FULL permissions on filepro and all sub folders

any help would be appreciated
