looking for an old(er) computer that can run SCO 5.07...

John,

I've got an old SCO server sitting in my garage, circa 2000. I have no idea what the exact hardware is or what the exact version of SCO Unix is. If it would be of any help to you I can dust it off and see if it will still boot.

Let me know if you want me to give it a try.

Regards,
Scott

Jose,
Thanks, that is a great idea. There are a couple of colleges and Universities around here, and people are always giving old useless computers to churches as well. I will organize some people to start looking in those areas. But, I had to think somebody here might have something ready-to-go.
I saw something a few months ago from someone willing to send away his fully working 5.6 SCO box if anyone was willing to just pay the shipping! Wish I had enough foresight to just pick it up as akeeper for times like this.

Take care,

John

John,

If a suitable replacement is not found here may I suggest you look at govdeals.com - Universities and Gov agencies list their equipment here and computers/servers are always available.

Your search is a bit unique given the specifics but who knows, there might just be a shot here!

Regards,
