Frank.

Her is some additional codes that I am using to use legal size paper.

63 ◄ $1b &l3a1o8d4e45F %41 %42◄ * Legal-Landscape 6 lpi
 64 ◄ $1b &l3a1o8d4e60F %41 %42◄ * Legal-landscape 8 lpi
 65 ◄ $1b &l3a0o6D ◄ * Legal - Portrait

Of course print codes 41 and 42 will place one in landscape mode. There are set commands for each print control; function on an HP printer. Most of HP printers accept PCL (not PCL GUI) if one can find a driver for PCL language for use with your OS.

Many Epson printers accept their version of a print control language as used for Dot Matrix printers. There are some Epson print tables supplied with filePro. Fp\lib\epson*prt or fp/lib/epson*.prt. . I suggest you read the printer documents to see what the printer will emulate.

Of course if you have a filePro version that can create PDF's of your output. My suggestion would be to produce your output using the FPLM_3 for PDF file creation as this is the latest .prt file for creating pdf's. I have been using this for some of my clients and myself as the out[put works with any printer that can handle pdf files. This allows one to have a very generic output format that is not dependent on a specific printer supporting PCL 3 or 5 or another print language.

Hi Frank:

The codes should for landscape mode should be in your filePro printer tables. Here are the codes from my HP-4000 laser table:

55 - $1b &l2a0o6d3e60F %39 %40 - 6 lpi portrait init
56 - $1b &l2a0o8d4e80F %39 %40 - 8 lpi portrait init
57 - $1b &l2a1o6d3e45F %41 %42 - 6 lpi landscape init
58 - $1b &l2a1o8d4e60F %41 %42 - 8 lpi landscape init

To reset the laser printer back to its defaults, you should be able to send a filePro printer code 3 (Reset Printer):

3 - $1b E %24 %91 - Initialize printer
