I run Windows rarely, only when I need to set up boards for duplicate
bridge games, and run it under VMware Fusion on my Mac.  A quick DuckDuckGo
search for this I found this article.  I haven't tried it yet as I only
just updated from Windows 8 to Windows 10 when I was setting up a fresh Mac
Mini.

You expect anything different from the Redmond Raptor?  Every major
malware/ransomware attack has taken advantage of Windows security
vulnerabilites.

An interesting book on one of the attacks is Kim Zetter's "Countdown to
Zero Day: Stuxnet and the Launch of the World's First Digital Weapon"
