I will use seldaterange, selacct, selprodcode or generic names like that when I reuse the table for many different reports. But I like the names short in most cases so I do not have to type too much. And I like to know immediately if a report requires a special selection or auto table. Especially important if you have to edit the table and compile it to a .tok. You have to use the right auto table when you compile or the table will misbehave when you run it. That is why it is wonderful if filepro has given us a way to attach an auto table to an input/output process so it will compile correctly. This has caused me no end of grief over the years.
