fatal error: unexpected SIGSEGV in emulator mode

You're overlooking the part where you can't even upgrade from 5.0.14 to
5.7.x without the indexes being a problem, much less 6.x. I know people
who have licenses for 5.7, and have not yet managed to upgrade their
production systems due to the logistics involved.

Don't start me on the license manager from 5.0.15 forward. MANY people
refuse to go past the 5.0.14 point of no return for exactly that reason.

And some people are just, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Those are
the people for whom SCO was meant.

It's not always about the money.
