I disagree. I wouldn't. I'd probably actually praise the attempt. It
would deserve some respect on multiple grounds.

In fact, about a year ago, I was sorely tempted to start in on a large
project which would inevitably and logically end up being a SaaS
migration path out of filePro which would let people maintain their
current applications whilst building out their existing ones in
something sane and modern.

Can I -technically- write it? Sure. I don't have the time and energy
to do it on spec, period. Not all by myself, not anytime soon, anyway.
Realistically, I'm not doing anything on spec anymore; I'd rather work
on learning guitar, practising/writing/producing music, gaming, or just
about anything else in my free time. Computers long ago stopped being an
enjoyable hobby; it's my day job, full stop. As a hobby, it's 95% dead
to me, except those rare times I have just enough energy to get a tiny
itch. Then I talk some sense into myself. I'd write whatever I need,
if I'm getting paid to do so. On spec? Hell no, not these days.

I'd have zero qualms posting that here, because the filePro community -is-
the market for that. It's directly related, and this would be stop number
one for such a pitch, no hesitations. That'd be worth any potential
heat one might take.

> A shame, a shame indeed.

Please, let's not even try to play the wounded party. You're in the
wrong because of your poor judgement, not because of who you are.

People are more likely to get a free pass here because of who they are,
than to get crucified for who they are. All you have to do is go back to
the Tandy days, and you can talk about anything you like, no matter how OT.
You've been here -how- long, and haven't identified the trend? Going back
to Tandy days is the fplist equivalent of being he who has the gold, more
or less.

Guitars... Can we talk about guitars? Please??? Synths, maybe???
Gaming is an option we've not considered, and I know at least a few of
us here are into some, or all three.
