Do you have PFNODF set to ON in the filePro configuration editor? Setting that environment variable to ON disables ddefine and dexpand from checking free disk space, which is important if you are using a large hard drive.

Subject: Error checking free disk space:

All,

Apologies for the bother. I am on a production 4.5 SCO unix filepro system (not changing at this time).  Due to a control number having to be expanded, we have to change the length of a field.  However when I attempt to do that I get the following:

*** A System Error Has Occurred ***

Error checking free disk space:
/hd1: Invalid argument

/hd1 is a valid drive and everything else works.

fppath looks like this:

/hd1/appl
/hd1
/appl

Any suggestions? permissions on /hd1 are set to 777, and I tried changing the owner to filepro.
