Error checking free disk space:

All,

Apologies for the bother. I am on a production 4.5 SCO unix filepro
system (not changing at this time).  Due to a control number having to
be expanded, we have to change the length of a field.  However when I
attempt to do that I get the following:

*** A System Error Has Occurred ***

Error checking free disk space:
/hd1: Invalid argument

/hd1 is a valid drive and everything else works.

fppath looks like this:

/hd1/appl
/hd1
/appl

Any suggestions? permissions on /hd1 are set to 777, and I tried
changing the owner to filepro.
