It's true that if permissions on files change, then there is a problem 
to be found and resolved, and there is no excuse for not doing that. The 
change serves as your evidence and alert that something is wrong. You 
don't solve the problem of a co2 alarm going off, by perpetually 
resetting the alarm to make it shut up for another hour.

However, it's also true that a reference permissions fixer is entirely 
sane and should exist. It serves as a reference, even if it's repair 
function can be "abused". Every tool can be abused, and that is no 
reason not to have the tool.

It's no curse, only blessing.
