BTDT. I used to come up with some really damned inventive ways of nesting
quotes between them.
Frankly, that's an upside of Perl, since it provides many more quoting
mechanisms, as well as interpolated and non-interpolated methods of each.
It doesn't hurt that it also -doesn't- double-interpolate. There's a lot
less pain there.
