Just curious - filePro question

I use my OneGate package as the secure framework for building web-based GUI
designs.
fPweb is more of a methodology than an actual product. That same sort of
'mail merge' methodology can work with OneGate since I implemented v5.x's
templating systems, but is (in my opinion) cleaner behind the scenes due
to how I set up OneGate, plus you get all the benefits of file uploads,
cookies, etc. You'll also find that it inherently helps organise your
application's development, due to how each task is compartmentalised.
You still need to do a lot of programming to get a web-based solution,
no matter which way you go. The non-persistent short-exchange model for
working on the web is an entirely different model than the persistently
running program model of *clerk. You can borrow from your original
business logic, but you're going to be rewriting the UI in something other
than filePro. That's just the nature of the beast.
OneGate works on both *nix and Windows. I have deployments out there
under both. On Windows, I've even had someone take it from IIS to Apache
under XAMPP. I also have an application-level reverse proxy solution for
OneGate, in case there is a mix of public/private servers. That solution
is also platform-agnostic; you can have *nix on one side, Windows on the
other, and it won't care.
