You do a decent impersonation.

You did leave out: "You managed to have long-standing bugs all the way
through 5.0.14. You've held security fixes for fPcgi 1.0 for ransom as
2.0 (still one of the worst moves I've ever seen), and then later dropped
the product (which you could barely support) entirely.

Why should we believe 5.6, 5.7, 5.8, etc., will be any more stable, or that
they'll be supported any better? How do people know they're not walking
into worse bugs, and paying for the 'privilege'?

In other words, we got the misery for free in the past, and now you want
our customers to -pay- for that same 'benefit'? Oh, -and- suffer through
it under the looming spectre of the license manager? Erm...no.

Hell, how do people know that they're not buying into a worse situation?
You binned fPcgi; what's to say you won't bin filePro itself, leaving
people stuck with something which needs licence manager attention. In that
hypothetical scenario, people are still better off on 5.0.14 or earlier,
because -I've- never heard any commitment to, "We won't leave you stranded
if something happens to us."

All but one of my customers has declined that option. One was moving in
that direction, and even purchased 5.7 licenses, but -still- has yet to
actually deploy it in production, due to logistical issues in making the
switch.

Not that you'll listen to us. You haven't listened for 24 years, so why
start now?

"But there's this new spell checker!" There's something you'll never live
down, seriously.
