Also, to clarify a point...

8) Appearances and perceptions to the contrary, I do -not- like to argue.
I deplore conflict of almost every kind.  It's a complete waste of energy,
and more negativity than I need.  It's bad enough I get dragged into it
online; I don't need more of it than I already have.

If someone sees me 'arguing', they're misinterpreting standing up for a
principle, or refusing to back away from hard facts as I see them.  I'll
fly a principle straight into the ground, sure.  I'll back an objective
fact until someone clues in or I run out of patience and give up.  However,
I'm not arguing for argument's sake.  I think a lot of people confuse the
those, and thus the misconceptions, especially when I'm quite plain-spoken
and blunt in my presentation.

If I'm hanging socially or non-employment-wise with people I have to argue
with on a regular basis, I'm hanging with the wrong people.
