I recently inherited a Surface Pro with 64GB SSD. No applications.

I installed a 200GB micro SD card to install programs on.

OK, where is my question- I have 3 filePro databases which are currently active with development projects.

Database 1 - 9GB
Database 2 - 39GB
Database 3 - ½ Gb

I can install filePro development on the SD drive and then install these 3 client databases on a USB (3) drive or Install them on the Micro SD drive?

USB Drive:
PRO
The advantage to the USB drive is I can easily move any new programming to my server when I get home. Also, I can easily update programs modified at my clients site.

CON: I have to remember to bring along the USB Drive. It can more easily get lost.

Micro SD:

Pro: Always in the computer. Has good read and write speed for development. Surface Pro connects to my office network wirelessly or through a USB Ethernet connection, and I therefore can copy update programs to my server.

Con: Reduces available space for installing other programs. Need to connect to my local network to download updated programs.

I like the idea of using this Tablet as I can use it on a plane without a problem. Also, it is about weighs 3 or 4 pounds less than my ThinkPad. The disadvantage is the screen size and resolution. To read some things with this screen resolution, I need to enlarge the text. Although this is not exclusive to tablets, My new 27" 4K monitor has a similar issue based on the high resolution of the monitor.

So, any recommendations as to how you might or are handling this type of issue.

PS: Strange, it seems like yesterday that reviewers were questioning "who would need a 35MB hard drive". Now we are talking about GB and even Tb of storage. My new computer has a 256Gb SSD drive, and 1TB internal hard drive and a 1TB eSATA drive. Plus it is connected to my server.
