Thanks, JP. That's good info.
I like the reliability, but I've never been particularly fond of the cost-per-page of the Lexmark CX510. I'll have to analyze that against the new HPs.

Thanks, Tom.

Jim Asman (who else) pointed me toan HP color all-in one (M277) that
still understands PCL5. More or less same price as the Lexmark, but
~~30 lbs instead of ~~60 lbs.

| Hi JP, I have an Lexmark X264 at the low end a Lexmark CX510de at the
| high end. Both run from Unix, Linux and Windows just fine. Both have
| PostScript and PCL5 emulation. I use the PCL5 emulation from the same
| old UNIX scripts I wrote in the 1990s for filePro, and they still run
| the same. I imagine the CX310 is quite similar to the CX510.

| Anyone here have experience with the Lexmark CX310dn and filePro?
|
| Its specs do claim compatibility with many variants of Linux and Unix,
| and say that pcl5 is supported, but when that is asserted with the
| word "emulated" on the same line, I get a bit antsy.
