Printing failure mechanisms

Hi all,

Does filePro, in general, have any mechanism to detect and react to the 
failure of a print job? Or is printing a one-way pipe? Specifically, what 
happens if a job launched via PFPOSTPRINT (on Windows-based filePro) 
fails?

Is the only way to deal with this possibility to rely on external 
queueing, such as with an LPR/LPD queue?
