Do you recall where you heard that?

There are 702 letter combinations available for dummy fields, so I guess you 
can say that there's a limit of 702 dummy fields in a prc table.

No limit to the number of variables that I am aware of.

Dummy fields defined in automatic are shared among all prc tables.  Aside 
from that, there is no other effect.

They don't as far as I know.
