Sorry top posted
Mark,
We have to run virtual for our ERP software. That will be corrected when we upgrade the ERP in Sept.
It appears that like many virus checking software, Oracle has a place to list safe software. We entered rclerk.exe, rreport.exe and p.exe and have not had a problem since. Have to do it to each workstation though.
Thanks to all,
Rick

I run VirtualBox 4.something, and only once or twice have had a problem with
it starting a VM.
That said, I should also point out that I use it only sporadically, and
usually for things such as testing filePro on an XP box. (Or the "fun" of
watching Windows 3.1, or filePro 1.x on an MS-DOS 5 system.)

What specific "ODBC errors" are you getting?
Does the VM have access to the ODBC server? A quick test here shows that my
XP VM does, indeed, have access to the rest of our LAN, including network
shares and printers. I didn't try any connecting to any ODBC servers, however.
