It appears that a recent Microsoft update -- KB2922229 -- has added a
"security fix" which prevents fileProGI from running .bat files in some
circumstances. It does not appear to have had any effect on text-mode filePro.

If your sysadmin allows it, you can back out that update. However, I
understand that not everyone can or wants to do so.
As a workaround for now, you need to set "PFTMP=." in GI's default.cfg file.
(Note that this will cause filePro to write temp files to the current
directory. You can set "startdir=" in the default.cfg file to a temp
directory if desired.)
Also, if you explicitly execute any .bat files from a menu, you will need to
add "cmd /c" in front of the batch filename.
Finally, if you have "startcmd=" set to run a batch file, you will also need
to add "cmd /c" in front of the batch filename.
