Had a similar problem recently with one program and rreport. I set the menu to use dreport and then went back and tried rreport and it worked.
Not sure if an update to server 2008 caused the problem and then another update fixed the problem.
Has a new updates been applied? If so, you might want to remove them and the see if rclerk works. If it does, start adding back the update until you find the one which is causing your problem.
