Need suggestions setting up temporary remote location

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to this thread. Let me take a stab at
restating the question, and tell me if I'm on track:
You connect to a host using RDP or similar. Within that session, you run
Print Wizard. You want PW to print it's output on a redirected printer.
You know the local name of the printer, but the name from the host's
perspective is different every time. So you need a resolution mechanism.
Wait! Alert! I just saw Boaz's later post. It says there's a SERVICE
running. If this is always running, either as a foreground service (in
some other session) or as a Windows service (totally in the background),
it would need to resolve the printer name on a DIFFERENT process. I don't
know if Windows provides a call that would make that possible, but I'll
check.
Please clarify the scenario.
