Crystal Reports and filePro

I was hoping not to have to do this.  I import using fpodbc from SQL everyday.

However I found on the web the schedule for the 2007 fp Conference where it shows Bob Haussman giving a talk of doing this plus other extractions of fp data using OLE.

I assume it worked back then and since that is 6 yrs ago I am hoping the process may be a lot further down the road.

We'll see.

Thanks
Rick

I cannot see how you can get Crystal Report to integrate with filePro unless your filePro application is ODBC based and data is kept in SQL.  I'll love to stand corrected!

That being said, you can easily dump you filePro files to MySQL or SQL and do your reporting from there.  As a matter of fact, this may be a good way to go since you can selectively push files to this API or Reporting Gateway.

Lots of people do not seem to realize that can run shell/batch scripts right out of filePro to:

(a) Create MySQL tables

(b) Push data from filePro to MySQL

Would you like to have a web based interface that allows you cherry pick your filePro data or files and push it to MySQL?  If so, let me know!

Good luck!
