I gave up on HP after many years when a part got broken on an HP CP2025DN
which was less than a year old, and HP wouldn't sell the parts to repair
it. This printer replaced an HP 4M Plus that had been in continuous
service since November 1995.
I replaced this with a Ricoh SP C242sf for about the price of 4 toner
cartridges for the HP. The Ricoh works very nicely, and the toner costs
are about 1/3 that of the HP.
I have had problems with HP's driver support for their scanners where they
either don't support older scanners or are very slow updating OS X drivers
for recent scanners.
