tot()

Windows 7 pro
Filepro 5.6.11 and 5.7.03.03

I have an output which goes to display.

When I set  tg(4,.0.g)=tot(10) in my processing to total the value of field 10, =10 on the report output became blank.

I needed to add the value of ta=@rs+tg 

Does anyone know why =10 would be blank after putting tot(10) into processing?
