Dan,
There are a couple ways to do this.
The one we use most is to set a unique share name to each of the shared printers. Then in printer maintenance in filepro
1. define a user name (for a specific client workstation)
2. select the correct printer definition
3. under the 'destination file' enter win:<printer share name>
Alt nbr 3... under the 'destination file' enter file://%3cservername%3e/%3Cprinter share name>
Finally in the batch file for the user enter this command 'set pfprinter=<printer share name>
This should work

Subject: Setting default printer in Windows
Good morning,
I have recently migrated to Windows from UNIX, so I'm still learning the
differences. The version is 5.07 running on Windows 7. The default
printer in filePro is set and works fine. But there are a couple of work
stations, I would like to change that default to a different printer. All
the printers are installed on the server and shared over the network.
I tried putting the PFPRINTER=\\server\printer in the Windows batch file,
no luck.
Testing, I added an environmental variable using the Windows "advanced
settings" on the server, When I added the PFPRINTER variable, that worked,
overriding the filePro default printer. When I tried to do the same thing
on a client computer using \\server\printer, as the value, it didn't
change. There were no errors when I loaded the menu, but it printed to the
filePro default rather than my local override.
Is there a trick I'm missing here?
Thank you in advance.
