True enough.

It's not terribly difficult to build proper multi-part mail
messages with attachments.  The Python email module provides all
the necessary tools to handle any MIME attachments.  I used these
in my scripts that generate the necessary OpenVPN keys, emailing
a zip file with them and a text part that tells the recipient how
to unbundle them for their system.

The main problem I have with 'mutt' or other MUA is that they
tend to have extra stuff like asking for '.sent' files that can
cause problems when scripted.
