OT: Blocking facebook via mobile device

No, this has nothing to do with filePro, and you can reply off-list if you 
want...

Our kids recently bought themselves iPod Touches.  I have our router 
blocking facebook, so they have been unable to use their laptops to access 
it.  However, it appears that the iPods can access facebook through the 
mobile app.

I haven't seen anything (yet) in the router logs to point me in the right 
direction.

So...  Does anyone on this list know how the facebook mobile app access the 
facebook site?

And ditto for Google+.
