I don't think this is an "idle out" problem as other accesses to the
Samba server are otherwise very responsive. The License manager runs as
a process on the same Linux server in case that is of any help.
This problem has been happening for a few months now, but has only been
a minor annoyance so I haven't looked into it until now.
