When I was in college they had the beginnings of VMS and you could do things
like Gopher through an IBM XT, or maybe an Apple (there were a handful). The
year after I graduated they brought in dozens and dozens of VAX terminals
and it was quickly all the rage.
I helped my wife set up a profile after studying the manual for awhile. The
language is one of the most arcane I've ever seen.
