That makes no sense.  When filePro gives the 6th user a "too many users"
error, it should have no effect on the 5 existing users, nor should it cause
anything to lock up.  And I've never seen filePro lock up the system,
requiring a reboot to clear[1].

What, exactly, is the user doing when he gets the error?  What is the exact 
error?  What, exactly, are the other 5 users doing when they "lock up"?

Because nothing stops 20 people from logging in with the same ID from the 
same IP address or through a NAT.

And that would have no effect on your issue, anyway.

[1] Well, I have seen filePro run into an O/S bug, which would lock of the
process so hard that "kill -9" didn't kill it.  And another time when a 
filePro bug triggered an O/S bug which caused a kernel panic.  But these 
were both O/S bugs which meant a reboot was required to clear the problem.
