screen problem

Two quick questions...

What do you see if you are actually on the server, rather than using RDP? 
(If it works on the server, I'd say it's an RDP bug.)

What happens if you press Ctrl-L to redraw the screen after switching from 0 
to 1?  (Yes, Ctrl-L works on Windows, too.)
