screen problem

RDP to server

I designed a new screen 1 for a new file.  There are 7 32 character fields.
I decided to alternate colors using alt F5 and alt F6

*4 (alt F5)
*6 (alt F6)
Etc.

When F5 is pressed to resolve the fields, the color extends the full 32
characters.

When I go into the file on screen 0 and then switch to screen 1, the color
only extends 12 characters.

I went back and changed screen 1 so that the color was extended to 32
characters.

Again going from screen 0 to screen 1 only displayed color for the first 12
characters.

If I enter the file directly to screen 1, the color extends  the 32
characters.

Has anyone seen this problem?

Any suggestion as to why this may be happening?
