OT-Business Opportunity

I've got about (40) customers, all in the same vertical market, using a
program developed in fp. I still get a new customer now & then through
referrals. I would like to ramp things up with a bit of marketing and
perhaps a more modern web based user interface. A big negative in the minds
of some of the bigger potential customers is the fact that I am a one man
operation (ie. What happens if you get hit by a bus?). They've been asking
me that for (20) years but I am now (55) so I am now looking to come up with
a better answer.
Perhaps have an agreement with another fp developer as a backup source of
support for my package and I would do the same for yours. Make potential
customers feel more secure and perhaps cover for each other during vacation
periods.
Maybe combine our small companies to get some economies of scale.
Maybe hire a younger programmer with a more up to date skill set and offer
them some potential ownership opportunity.
I would actually like to spend more time on sales & training and less on
coding. I have coded most of my application in fp but I am not a natural
and would consider my programming skill level as only fair. When I get
outside of fp, I am below fair. Maybe someone who was much more technically
proficient (especially with a modern skill set) than myself would be a good
match.
Maybe some combination of above.
I'm open to other ideas or propositions.
