We have a network-connected printer, and filePro has no problem printing to
it with a destination of "WIN:DELL2150-A58D44-IPv4".  No servers, no shares,
no redirection, just "print to this network printer".

Hi Ken,

I understand what you say above but that is a very simplictic setup. It is different if you have 10 - 12 printers, several servers, 30 workstations, all running a multitude of different programs all windows (except filePro - see note below).  I do agree with Reggie that running all printers as network off of a dedicated server would be the best solution.  But finding a spare server, rewiring, changing configs, etc - sounds like a lot of work I don't have time for.

filePro (Windows) ?  will we ever see a truely windows version of fp?  I am retiring on 5/1/2014.  If the answer is no then after I get done with our MRP upgrade, I should consider setting up all critical fp processes up on fpweb.  I would just like an honest answer.
