Subject: fp and Windows 7

We are about to upgrade much of our software.  This will be a 6 month
project especially in retraining our users in our upgraded ERP software.

Currently our ERP software runs on Windows 7 in the virtual XP mode as does
filePro ODBC 5.0.15.  Hopefully we will be able to run all our software in
either the 32 or 64 bit Windows 7 O/S.

Here is my question....

Does our version on fp run on either 32 or 64 bit Windows 7 w/o the XP
virtual?

Our network currently is Win2003.  If we upgrade to Win2008 will this have
any effect on fp?

Rick,

I am running Windows server 2003 32 Bit and my Workstation is 64bit Windows
7 - no problem.

One of my clients is running Windows server 2008, 64 bit, virtual with
Windows XP workstations and is having no problems.

The only problem I have run into with Windows 7, is that if I download a zip
file to my server and try to unzip it, I get a message that I don’t have
permission to do this even if I run the unzip program in administrator mode.
If I move the file to my local machine, no problem.
