Dummy variables are not displayed unless specifically programmed into the browse. You will see the true contents of the creation date.

Thanks Don. I tried this suggestion and it showed 05/01/11 in each and
every record.
I created the MAC directory in 01/01/89 after we had a reunion in late
1988. The first two hundred, or so, members had a creation date of
1/1/89 when I first created the file MAC and used import from a
spreadsheet file contained in a diskette.
I have MAC directories in my computer, with different names, in which
all records in each directory have identical @cd dates. I have a MAC
directory in which all records have the same @cd date of 11/02/10,
another MAC directory has an @cd of 04/12/11 in each of its records, and
another MAC directory has an @cd of 05/01/11in each of its records.
I have to go to the grocery store. I will work on this when I return.
