I didn't know about the ctrl-shift-enter shortcut.  I usually just 
right-click and select "run as administrator".

Okay, so this has nothing to do with USB, but rather a network printer.

I haven't used the "net use" command for printers.  I suppose I can try it 
out later when I'm back home on our network.

However, if this is for filePro, simply use "\\computer\printer" for the 
destination.  Or, better yet, "WIN:\\computer\printer" instead, as that 
tells filePro to use the Windows print spooler API.
