Run FP license manager on netbook?

All this will do is reduce overall reliability and availability.

Separating the license manager from the server just increases the number 
of things (hardware and software and configuration) that must be working 
in order for the system as a whole to work.

If one day the server dies and the netbook is alive, you'll see a 
benefit. But the opposite is also true. The day the netbook dies, or 
gets a virus, you'll be down for no reason.

fp has at least tried to have a good license manager in that they allow 
you to choose from several schemes, where one scheme solves a problem 
caused by another scheme, but they all create a problem of some sort 
which is why I just refused to buy into it in the first place. None of 
my (customers) data or apps are at any artificially and unnecessarily 
added risk. The 5.6 features are not worth it.
